Invitation to the 9th EUSAIR Forum – Shaping the Future of EUSAIR

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 9th EUSAIR Forum: “Shaping the Future of EUSAIR.” Hosted and organised by Croatia with the support of EUSAIR Facility Point in Šibenik on the 15 & 16 May 2024. The Forum marks the successful finish of the Presidency and the collaborative efforts of all involved in the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR).

The Forum offers a distinctive chance to explore final results of the revision of the EUSAIR, its Action Plan and governance. It was clear from the outset that substantial multi-state, multi-stakeholder dialogue towards one shared vision meant a rejuvenated, more pertinent, more effective, more future-proof EUSAIR.

At the time when the EUSAIR revision is in its final stage, EU discussion on post 2027 Cohesion Policy is in full swing. Macro-regional strategies and Interreg programmes took an active role in the consultation process and are already discussing and analysing what would be the best way to move forward. At the EUSAIR Forum stakeholders will have the opportunity to take part in that discussion.

The involvement of youth in the Strategy is a key aspect, marked by crucial steps towards establishment of the EUSAIR Youth Council. With it, youth of the Adriatic Ionian region will gain a platform for wider collaboration and active participation in shaping the socio-economic development of their living space, in line with the overarching objectives of the EUSAIR.
